Our approach

Our approach

On our estate we grow the vines sustainably. This reflects our family’s deep commitment to the Sancerre terroirs and their preservation, as well as our desire to minimise our impact on the environment.

These sustainable winegrowing practices require us to spend a greater amount of time working in the vineyards and to take extra special care in the vat room.

In the pursuit of our objective of offering quality and authenticity with each vintage and each terroir, we decided we would take things even further…

The estate has therefore been engaged in an HVE (High Environmental Value) approach for over a year now. Obtaining HVE Level 3 certification on 22 October 2020 had been a new challenge for us. This certification is based on performance requirements measured by environmental performance indicators (certifying body: OCACIA).

« “Obtaining HVE certification is a recognition of our hard work each day and we are very proud of it!” G. REVERDY

HVE (High Environmental Value) certification

HVE (High Environmental Value) certification

HVE is a scheme that came out of the Grenelle Environmental Forum. It helps to promote an agroecological approach and is intended to encourage winegrowers to transition to methods that encourage biodiversity and autonomy on the vineyard holdings. This certification also meets consumer demand for food and drink with a low environmental impact.

The HVE approach is multi-sector: it applies to all agricultural production. For viticulture, the scheme is based on 4 key themes: preservation of biodiversity, phytosanitary strategy, fertilisation management and water resource management.

Level 3 is the highest level of HVE certification.
